So about a year ago I decided to embark on an amazing, crazy, risky, difficult but rewarding journey – to become a children’s Author.  So I’m almost to the printing stage. And then all of a sudden, in a matter of weeks I’ll be a published Author (shocked face!!)

I also should mention, a major part in this whole story is that I’ve got a physical disability -Cerebral Palsy.

The first step that came on the journey was the initial idea, inspired by many love for children’s books and reading them to my daughter.  Also, the absolute adoration for my pups with their endless antics, would provide me the inspirations for my stories.

I found an illustrator on google and so so started the long illustrating process. But at this time it was fine by me to take our time as I was paying for all this out of my pensions and my husbands wage, so this was a very tight time. And even though my husband always supported this idea, at times we both questioned whether this was the right thing to do.

About half way through the illustrating process, I ended up finding an amazing mentor coach who was set up with all the avenues I would need to make this book come to life – and he lives just around the corner!!

My first two stories were edited, which I found interesting as this is the first time any of my writing has ever been edited. I also had a website made up and am learning as I go with all the social media marketing, and getting my head around all this tech stuff has been rather challenging but it’s all been and still is, a great learning curve.

I hope you will follow my journey and can’t wait to share it with you.
